Architectural Draftsman

Ignarri-Lummis Architects, Cherry Hill, NJ                                 March, 2006 – Present

· Survey, Design and Drafting of architectural design projects (retail, industrial, institutional and residential).

· Responsible for support, troubleshooting of AutoCAD 2006 drawings and drafting issues.

· Provide first level support and troubleshooting of computer systems, printers and plotters.

· Convert standard blocks into Dynamic blocks for increased office productivity.

· Assist users in troubleshooting IT issues and coordinate IT support with offsite IT administrator.

· Made ‘Before and After’ 3d visualization renderings for proposed Supermarket and Signage for project presentation to municipal officials.

· Teach, make written tutorials and direct users in company CAD drafting standards, as well as assisting in updating and keeping standards current.

· Made MS Excel macro in VBA to automate CAD scheduler’s process for each individual drafter’s project schedule and hardcopy output.

· Develop and compile drawing archive database search tool in Visual Basic.

· Perform DVD Media archiving of older projects.

 

CAD Manager (Electrical Designer)

· Responsible for support, troubleshooting of AutoCAD 2002/Arch. Desktop 3.3 drawings and drafting issues.  Also provide support for 3dStudio Max users.

· Maintain Architectural and Electrical standard details, schedules, toolbars and proprietary productivity tools (LISP and VBA) as well as plotter general maintenance, supplies and admin.

· Teach and direct users in CAD drafting standards, and update and keep standards current.

· Order/setup new computer systems and troubleshoot problems and provide computer, network and computer accessory support for users.

· Assist in design and drafting of electrical design projects.

· Update and maintain company MS Office templates (Word, Excel).

· Perform phone system administration.

 

Programmer / Help Desk

Teknion, LLC, Mt. Laurel, NJ                                   July, 2000 – November 2003

· Develop and compile Teknion Fabric and Finish Browser application, which utilizes an ADO database, ActiveX components and integrates with 3rd party application, this application reduced annual marketing budget by $200,000 yearly.

· Analyze and develop AutoCAD 2000i drawing manipulation program solutions and custom installation routines for solutions using Visual Basic.

· Develop and compile Teknion Ledger Filing Capacity program for use by the sales force.

· Make custom install routine and Teknion Acad Symbol library using C++, AutoCAD and DOS.

· Develop solutions and tutorials for user intensive processes involving AutoCAD.

· Made updates to TekniOnline web site using Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop and HTML.

· Provide Help Desk, Hardware, Lotus Notes, Novell and AutoCAD support and training.

· Maintain database for electronic catalogs utilizing Progress database tools.

· Utilize Progress tools to compile vendor-specific catalog for use with IBM's EDI ordering system.
